Limits on ionized intracluster gas in Abell 2199
Creators

Description
We have obtained an upper limit on the brightness temperature at 23 GHz in the core of the rich cluster Abell 2199. When combined with X-ray observations, our results indicate that there is probably not enough ionized gas present to gravitationally bind the cluster. Low-energy X-ray observations are required to strengthen this conclusion. Subject headings: galaxies, clusters of - intergalactic medium - X-ray sources - radio sources
