Report of the working group on single-particle nonlinear dynamics

  • 1. Office of Energy Research, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, Materials Sciences Division, U.S. Department of Energy (United States)

Description

The Working Group on single-particle nonlinear dynamics has developed a set of tools to study nonlinear dynamics in a particle accelerator. The design of rings with large dynamic apertures is still far from automatic. The Working Group has concluded that nonlinear single-particle dynamics limits the performance of acclerators
