Application of electochemical cells with a zirocnium dioxide-based solid electrolyte for chemical analysis

Description
It is shown that electrochemical sensors with a solid electrolyte on the basis of stabilized zirconium dioxide are the most widely used ones in practice, which ploy a significant role in gas analysis. Basic methods of electroanalytic application of solid electrolyte elements are presented and problems arising in the course of their employment are discussed. Problems of comparison electrode selection, sources of errors in concentration measurement, dynamic characteristics of the sensors are considered. The problem of analyzing multicomponent gas mixtures used high-temperature solid electrolyte sensors is touched upon
