Liquid scintillation counting of the aqueous H235SO4 solutions
Description
A counting method for H235SO4 aqueous solutions in 'Aquasol' liquid scintillator is described. H235SO4-liquid scintillator mixtures can form both homogeneous and gel phases. Counting efficiencies are between 90% and 60% for the mixtures with 5% and 50% of aqueous solutions, respectively. Figure of merit value for 50% aqueous solution in Aquasol was found to be 3000.
