Description
The H+ + Na → H(2p) + Na+ charge exchange reaction has been studied at collision energies between 1 and 5 keV. At 1 and 2 keV impact energy, this study is 'quantum mechanically complete'; three quantities are necessary and sufficient to fully characterize this process. The experiment involves angle-resolved coincident detection of scattered H particles and Lyman-α photons. Comparison is made to the results of eikonal coupled-channel calculations. (author)
