Description
Electronic coupling Ag/ZnS nanocomposites were successfully prepared by a simple chemical method using VSB-1 (Versailles Santa Barbara-1) as host. XRD, HRTEM, SAED, EDX, XPS and BET analyses showed that the host VSB-1 structures were well preserved during the synthetic processes and the one-dimensional Ag/ZnS nanocomposites with diameters (0.9 nm) exactly the same as that of the channels may exist in the VSB-1. UV-vis spectra analyses showed that the exciton state absorptions of ZnS red-shifted from 262 (310) to 291 (323) nm; while the dipole plasmon resonance absorption of Ag blue-shifted from 355 to 351 nm. Obvious changes of the FWHM of their absorption peaks were observed for the Ag and ZnS components of the nanocomposites. Their electronic coupling leads to the modified densities of energy states and electron transferences of Ag and ZnS
