Description
The effect is studied of carbon and chromium, on the variation of their content within the trade-mark chemical composition, on the trend of steel 23Kh2G2T towards corrosion cracking in nitrate solutions. An increase in carbon and chromium content to the upper limit of the trade-mark chemical composition considerably reduces the cracking resistance of the steel. It is shown that the kinetics of corrosion cracking of the steel is associated with the relaxation of residual stresses
