Absolute measurements of prompt neutron spectrum from the 252Cf spontaneous fission in the 0.020-1.220 MeV range

Description

Measurement results on prompt neutron spectrum from the 252Cf spontaneous fission in the 0.020-1.220 MeV energy range are presented. Measurements are carried out by the time-of-flight method on the basis of 30.0+-0.1 cm. The device time resolution is 3 ns. The fast-response ionization fission chamber is used as a fission fragment detector. Lithium NE-912 glass of 9.5 thick ond 45 mm in diameter served as neutron detector. Measurements are absolute in the sense, that the only base value used for data processing is the 6Li(n, α)3H reaction cross section energy dependence representing the international standard
