Lifetime measurement in the region of neutron rich zirconium isotopes

Description

A gamma-ray spectroscopy experiment for the measurement of excited states lifetimes of 106Zr was performed at GSI using the PreSPEC-AGATA setup. A 238U primary beam from the SIS18 was fissioned on a Beryllium target positioned at the entrance of the FRagement Separator (FRS) to produce 107Nb ions identified, and selected by the FRS. The particles of this secondary beam were fragmented at relativistic energy (β = v/c ∝ 0.5) on a 700 mg/cm2 thick Beryllium target positioned at the center of the Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA). The 106Zr reaction products were identified by the Lund York Cologne Calorimeter (LYCCA). The energy and position of the gamma-rays emitted by these ejectiles were measured by 19-AGATA detectors. The position sensitivity of AGATA coupled with LYCCA detectors allow a lifetime determination using the Doppler Shift Attenuation Method (DSAM). The status of the data analysis and preliminary lifetime estimations are presented.
