Application of KEPIC in NSSS component construction

DOOSAN is a manufacturer that is producing the components of nuclear power plant, thermal power plant, etc. and has 53 kinds of certificates for ASME, KEPIC. ISO, etc and 19 kinds of ASME certificates such as N, NPT, NA, etc. out of them are being applied to construct nuclear power components. Applying ASME code for construction of components for nuclear power plant, we met difficulty such as the difference of code interpretation and qualification of RPE, QA system certification, etc. and there were difficulties to accumulate techniques due to the difference of applied technical standards for each projects. After the issue of KEPIC Korean version complying with domestic circumstances, everyone relative to nuclear power plant can easily understand and apply, and the quality improvement for nuclear power plant components is encouraged. KEPIC 2000 edition is required to apply for the design, procurement, fabrication for domestic in accordance with the Shin-Kori unit 1 and 2 NSSS component supply contract.
