Description
In this article, recent developments in high-field superconductors capable of generating magnetic fields above 10 T, which have been mainly achieved at the National Research Institute for Metals (NRIM) are described. These high-field superconductors are expected to be useful for high field superconducting devices. The Nb3Sn tape produced by the surface diffusion process first exceeded 10 T in 1966, and is being widely used for 15 T class superconducting magnets. Then, the V3Ga tape generated 17.5 T, the highest field record in superconducting state, in 1975
