Nuclear techniques applied to glass analysis
Description
Principles of the techniques of ion backscattering and of analysis by nuclear reaction, and examples of application in the field of glass. Ion backscattering can be applied to the study of deposits or of layers containing tin on the surface of the glass, to the study of exchanged ions or oxides remaining on the surface after polishing. Analysis by resonance nuclear reaction can be used for determining the concentration patterns of sodium or of hydrogen in glasses
