Description
This one-page article reports on Alstom Power's new technology for the small-scale hydro (0.5-15MW) market. Alstom offers the Mini-Aqua standardised small packages that include a turbine, a generator and a control system all in one complete package. The range available covers heads from 2-1000m, flows from 0.2-200m3/sec, outputs from 300kW-15MW and voltages from 3-15kV. Directly-coupled Pelton turbines and high speed generators are used in the high-head systems. Technical details for low-head applications are given
