Chemistry of 110Ag sorption by Ni sulfide in the system NaNO3-NaCl-Na2S-HCl-H2O

Creators

Description

Sorption and statistical and thermodynamic analyses are used to study the behavior of microgram amounts of Ag+ in Cl-SH solutions at standard temperature and pressure. The complexes Ag(SH)-2, Ag(SH)Cl-, and Ag(SH)0 are sorbed by thin-layer NiS in the presence of actual Ag2S colloid. The separate distribution coefficients of these are found as, mg/liter: 3.0·104, 3.5·105, and 5.6·105, respectively. The concentrational equilibrium constant for Ag(SH)2 + Cl- = Ag(SH)Cl + SH- is locally estimated as 1.7·10-5 at ionic strength μ = 3.0
