The book presents the basic knowledge of radiology and diagnostic nuclear medicine in a nutshell. There are the following chapters: Central nervous system, face and neck, locomotor system, heart and vessels, respiratory system, gastro-intestinal tract, the pelvis and retroperitoneum, mammae, and pediatrics. The textbook concentrates on the current techniques and results applied and obtained in the various subject areas. The last chapter deals with radiation treatments of malignant and benign disease. Abstract (German)

Das vorliegende Buch behandelt das Gebiet der Radiologie inklusive nuklearmedizinischer Untersuchungstechniken in knapper Form. Es ist unterteilt in die folgenden Kapitel: Zentrales Nervensystem, Gesicht und Hals, Bewegungsapparat, Herz und Gefaesse, Atmungsorgane, Magen-Darm-Trakt, Becken und Retroperitoneum, Mammae sowie Paediatrie. Es werden jeweils die aktuellen radiologischen Methoden und die daraus resultierenden Befunde dargestellt. Abschliessend folgt ein kurzes Kapitel ueber die Anwendung der Strahlentherapie bei malignen und benignen Erkrankungen. (MG)
