Disintegration of nickel and copper isotopes by 3.65 GeV protons

Description

Using the method of induced activity and γ-spectroscopy the cross sections of the formation of product nuclides in nuclear reactions on enriched isotopes 58Ni, 60Ni, 62Ni, 63Cu and 65Cu induced by 3.65 GeV protons are measured. The measured spallation cross sections are used to obtain charge dispersions and mass yields for separated isotopes. Dependence of cross sections on the number of neutrons in the target-nucleus is also analyzed. The effect of the target structure and the dependence of (p, xpyn) cross sections on the multiplicity of neutrons is discussed
