Description
The transfer function of Syrian MNR reactor has been analyzed for the open and closed loop. The neutron dynamics has been studied using the point kinetic method by considering one group of delayed neutrons including the effect of photo neutrons. Measurements of time change of relative neutron flux were carried out using the method of step changes of reactivity starting from steady state at various power levels. From the analysis of open loop the prompt neutron generation time A and the total effective fraction of delayed neutrons β were determined. With the analysis of closed loop transfer function the stability characteristic of the MNSR reactor has been analyzed. (author)
