Solar-magnetospheric effects in variations of the atmospheric electric field in a high-latitude zone

Description

Based on the analysis of results of atmospheric electric field strength Ez continuous measurement near the Earth surface, space-time regularities typical for Ez daily course asymmetry, are detected in the four stations located in the high-latitude area, and the assumption, concerning this asymmetry connection with magnetospheric convection electric fields is grounded. Regularities of Ez response in the high-latitude area on solar flares are determined. It is shown, that atmosphere conductivity profile changes, conditioned by cosmic ray Forbush decreases, do not appear to be a direct reason for positive phase of high-latitude Ez disturbances, connected with solar flares
