Geologic-geophysical research of mountain ranges for determination of their suitability for raw isolation

Description

This paper presents a technique of geologic-geophysical research of a site of the Semipalatinsk Test Site - Kosshoky with the purpose of determination of its suitability for RAW isolation. The following efforts were conducted at the site selected according to the results of regional assessment of geological formations: ground surveys, seismic tomography of one of horizons, borehole drilling, rock sampling and determination of its physical properties.
