Description
The contribution deals with the procedure for acquiring and evaluating the isolation condition of strategically important components and installations for electrical energy transmission. Because of the operational requirements, it is possible that weak points and ageing defects can arise in the isolating equipment, which can be uncovered and analyzed with suitable diagnostic procedures. The most important methods of diagnosis are introduced and their application explained on the basis of examples. (author) 8 figs., 20 refs
