Description

Ion source with peripheral magnetic field for injector of linear proton accelerator with spatial-uniform quadrupole focusing is developed in ITEP. The source design and its performance data are presented. The beam current being 150 mA and injection energy - 40 keV, the normalized emittance constitutes 0.05 cmxmrad
