An electron beam welding device, adaptable to various component geometries

Description

A welding equipment is proposed for the electron beam welding of components with various geometrical shapes, such as vapour generator components, rings, inspection ports, connections, for PWR reactors. The vacuum chamber, necessary for electron beam welding, is obtained by using the wall of the part to be welded, and the electron gun is rotationally moved inside the chamber. 4 fig
