Phosphorus determination in mud of bore-shooted holes of Kovdorsk deposit using field neutron activation on measurement of fluorine content

Description

Described are the technique and the results of experimental industrial application of the neutron activation method to determining fluorine contents. The fluorine concentration data were used for calculation of phosphorus correlative concentrations in mud of bore-shooted holes to realize selective extraction of Kovdorsk apatite ores. The suggested technique makes it possible to sample ores for phosphorus rapidly and the accuracy is maximum twice lower as comparing to the accuracy of sampling using chemical analysis
