Statistical approach to the problem of multiplicity of stellar open clusters
- 1. Ural'skij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Sverdlovsk (USSR). Astronomicheskaya Observatoriya
Description
Probabilities for open stellar clusters to hit a unit area of the celestial sphere and also the distribution function of the cluster angular distances from the nearest neighbour in the Milky Way have been considered. A statistical analysis shows that about 20% of investigated objects form multiple systems. About 47% of open stellar clusters enter double systems
