Assessment of the capabilities of Monte Carlo electron transport models using the continuous slowing down approximation
Description
Monte Carlo electron transport models using the continuous slowing down approximation are tested in a variety of experimental situations not previously investigated and compared to more elaborate models that do not use this simple approximation. Monte Carlo aspects such as computing time, sample size and precision of results are brought to light. (orig.)
