Enzyme activities of the kidney after irradiation
Description
This study concerns the modifications of enzymes in the brush border of proximal tubules of the kidney after irradiation. Disaccharase and dipeptidase activities show no significant modifications in the homogenates of kidneys from rats sacrificed between 16 hr and 21 days after irradiation with sublethal dose of 60Co γ radiation. Their behavior appears different from that of similar enzyme activities of the small intestine at the same intervals after irradiation
