Dubna synchrophasotron. Operation and improvement (June - September, 1981)

Description

Information is presented on the operation of the Dubna synchrophasotron, in particular the intensity of accelerated particles and the scientific program implemented over a period of June-September, 1981. A source of polarized deuterons (''Polyaris'') was mounted at the Dubna synchrophasotron. First information was obtained on the acceleration of polarized deuterons. Fibre-optical lines were used in the control system of this source. Geodesic measurements are being continued to control vertical shifts of the accelerator electromagnet
