Description

The (K+, K+p) reaction on light nuclei has been studied with 0.6 GeV/c incident K+ mesons making use of the nuclear photoemulsion method. Small recoil-momentum-transfer events (<150 MeV/c) have been studied. The integral cross section of the reaction, the effective number of protons, the differential K+ scattering cross section, the angular and energy distributions of protons, and the momentum and angular distributions of the recoil nuclei are obtained. These distributions are compared with direct-knockout calculations. The conclusion is made that the pole mechanism dominates
