Reaction ability of sandwich complexes of phthalocyanine with rare earths during solvoprotolytic dissociation

  • 1. Radievyj Inst., Leningrad (Russian Federation)

Description

Kinetic stability in solutions of rare earth diphthalocyanines - preaseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium - of LnPh2 composition was studied. Complete kinetic equations and activation parameters of the complex dissociation in aqueous concentrated sulfuric acid are obtained. Stoichiometric mechanism of the dissociation reaction with splitting off of two phthalocyanine ligands as the limiting stage was suggested and substantuated. It is shown that diphthalocyanines are the most stable complexes of all the known rare earth complexes
