On the modulation of cosmic rays in interplanetary space

Description
The cosmic ray distribution in the interplanetary space is investigated using the Fokker-Planck stationary, spherically symmetric equation taking into account diffusion, convective drift and energy variation, is studied. The expression for the radial dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the distance within the framework of the model, taking into account nonlinear interaction of galactic cosmic rays with solar wind and the process of solar wind protons recharging on neutral interstellar hydrogen, is obtained. Conditions for propagation of the charged particles during solar wind perturbations and in quiet periods are discussed. It is noted that variations of the propagation conditions lead to different effects in cosmic rays and, in the first hand, to considerable increase of the degree of their anisotropy
