Fuel rod insertion guide
Description
The present invention concerns an assembling device for a fuel assembly in a nuclear reactor facility, and the object thereof is to improve a means for inserting a fuel rod to a fuel rod insertion spacer. That is, a fuel rod insertion guide is used as a guide when a fuel rod is inserted into a fuel rod spacer. The insertion guide is made of a light-weight synthetic resin. With such a constitution, the operationability for the attachment on every fuel assembly to a guide support and the detachment thereof from the guide support is improved. Further, since the insertion guide is made of the synthetic resin, even if the fuel rod should collide against the insertion guide, the fuel rod is neither damaged nor failured. Further, since the synthetic resin itself has a lubricity, damages or abrasion due to friction upon insertion is not caused as in the case between metals, to make the insertion smooth. Further, if a guide hole for insertion guide is tapered, the guiding performance for the fuel rod is improved. (I.S.)
