Recent results from the IGEX double beta decay experiment

Description

The International Germanium Experiment (IGEX) has six detectors, containing >90 fiducial moles of 76Ge, operating underground. Data thus far yield T2ν1/2=(1.1±0.2).1021 y and T0ν1/2> 4.2.1024 y (90% CL) if interpreted as a null experiment, or T0ν1/2> 3.3.1024 y (95% CL) in the most conservative case. (orig.)
