ASTERIX-1

This report describes the activities which have been carried out in the framework of the project ASTERIX. This project has been executed in a cooperation between the divisions Operations Research and Information Technology of the Physics and Electronics Laboratory belonging to the Defence Research Group TNO (HDO-TNO), the sponsor of this project. Besides, a valuable contribution has been supplied by the Radio-biological Institute (Division of Health Research TNO). The project has resulted in a prototype system which can help the authorities providing the general public with information in case a nuclear accident occurs. The information concerns: elementary radiological information, actual information about the accident, common advises and measures, personal advises. (author). 5 refs.; 13 figs
