Description

The goal of the proposed experiments is an investigation of P-odd and P-even angular correlations in the (n,γ)-reactions with polarized neutrons and their dependence on output channel of the reaction using Ge(Li)-detectors. P-odd angular asymmetry is measured for a set of primary γ-transitions in the reaction 117 Sn (n,γ). The coefficient of asymmetry for γ-transition with energy of 9.33 MeV is measured to be equal to (9.9±1.1) x 10-4 with the corresponding matrix element of the weak interaction amounting to (9.3±1.7) x 10-4 eV. The non-zero P-odd effects are found for γ-transitions with energy of 6.41 MeV and for non-resolved transitions with energies of 7.27 and 7.28 MeV. The signs of the effects are negative. The results obtained are discussed within the two-resonance approach theory. 14 refs., 2 tabs., 2 figs
