Description

A Tandetron AMS (Accelerator Mass Spectrometer) had been set up at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (formerly the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute), Mutsu in 1997. The AMS features 3MV Tandetron accelerator and two independent beamlines for 14C and 129I measurement. In this paper, we describe the current status and troubles for the Tandetron AMS with the showing of examples from the last year. (author)
