Ce2CuGe6 crystal structure

Description
The powder method was used to determine the crystal structure of Ce2CuGe6 compound belonging to a new type: sp.gr. Amm2, a=4.0756(2), b=4.2152(1), c=21.5408(7) A, Z=2. The structure is reffered to trigonal-prismatic class; coordination number of Ce atoms - 20 and 16; Cu atoms - 9; Ge atoms - 7, 8, 9. Existence of nine earlier unknown R2CuGe6 compounds with the structure of Ce2CuGe6 type (R=La, Nd, Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb) was established
