Features of lithium interaction with rare earth metals

Description
With the use of calculation and experimental techniques the state diagrams are plotted for the Li-REM systems. It is shown that these alloy systems are classified into two groups by the type of interaction between components. The first group includes the systems with a monotectic equilibrium: Li-La (Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy). The second group constitutes the systems with peritectic transformations: Li-Yb (Ho, Er, Tm, Lu)
