Radioactive Chernobyl aerosols in Canada

Description
The results of analyses about 1000 samples with Chernobyl radioactive aerosols sampled on points of Canadian radiation monitoring set in 1986 are considered. It was shown, that over Canada radioactive plums resulted at the Chernobyl reactor explosion came off and mixed. At gamma-spectrometry of aerosol samples 103Ru, 131I, 132Te, 134,136,137Cs recorded. 95Zr, 95Nb, 140Ba, 140La, 141,144Ce and some other radionuclides were non-detectable. Maximum gross beta-radioactivity level of 78 mBq/m3 observed in Edmonton of May 11. Relation of concentration of 103Ru/137Cs increase Florida, sed from 0,2 - 0,3 to 3 - 6 from early May to late June. Part of 131I in gaseous form was in the range 20 - 100 %
