A special accident dosemeter for neutrons using an organic solid state track detector
- 1. Technische Univ., Dresden (German Democratic Republic). Sektion Physik
Description
An accident dosemeter for neutrons is described. This gamma insensitive dosemeter consists of a special two part organic solid state track detector. The properties of the dosemeter, and its calibration for different neutron fields, have been theoretically examined and experimentally determined for several different neutron fields. The dosemeter can be used over the entire neutron energy range from thermal to fast. It is possible to calculate the sensitivity of the dosemeter for practical situations and to further optimize its properties. (author)
