Description

A transmission type fast timing multiwire proportional counter (MWPC) has been developed for investigating fission products in a nuclear reaction. The detector has been used in combination with large area position sensitive MWPCs to get absolute timing of the fission fragments and the subsequent extraction of their mass-energy distributions
