Swedish nuclear power plants: balancing safety and kWh costs in the long term

There are twelve nuclear power units in operation in Sweden at four different sites. Their total output is 10 GW. This article concentrates on Forsmark and Oskarshamn. Treating the two as representative of all four Swedish NPPs, it discusses in some detail their strategy for balancing safety and kWh costs. (author) 1 fig., 1 tab
