Description

Two bridges connecting two buildings of a nuclear power plant were analyzed using a model coupling all the involved structures. The imput motion (seismic) was applied at the foundation base of both buildings. Results from this analysis and the results obtained using a decoupled model for each bridge were compared in order to study the effects of the interaction between structures. (Author)

Abstract (Portuguese)

Duas pontes conectando duas construcoes de uma usina nuclear foram analisadas atraves de um modelo acoplando todas as estruturas envolvidas. O movimento sismico foi aplicado a base da fundacao de ambas as construcoes. Resultados desta analise e os resultados obtidos usando um modelo desacoplado para cada ponte foram comparados para estudar os efeitos da interacao entre as estruturas. (M.C.K.)
