Description
The polymeric dyed flexible films are considered to be the most commonly used as dosimeters for routine dose monitoring in radiation processing. Dyed polymer films prepared by casting aqueous solution of PVA containing methyl green are useful for high dose dosimetry. The color of films changes from colourless to deep green when exposed to gamma radiation. Different concentrations of chloral hydrate were added to dyed polymer film to control the response dose range of application. Humidity during irradiation was also studied. These films are highly stable before and after irradiation under different storage conditions
