Fuel element design and fuel management strategies for spent fuel recycling in LWR type reactors

Starting with the licensing requirements, the MOX fuel elements as designed for PWR and BWR type reactors are described and their use in reactors is illustrated. Another chapter deals with the state of fuel recycling. The main operational experiences are discussed. (orig./DG)

Es werden, ausgehend von den Genehmigungsanforderungen, zunaechst an Beispielen fuer Druck- und Siedewasserreaktoren ausgelegte MOX-BE beschrieben und deren Einsatz im Reaktor behandelt. In einem weiteren Teil wird der aktuell erreichte Rueckfuehrungsstand dargestellt. Schliesslich werden einige wesentliche Betriebserfahrungen angesprochen. (orig./DG)Additional details
