Natural convection between inclined flat parallel plates

Description
A model for natural convection in a channel constituted of inclined flat parallel plates with constant properties and the hypothesis of laminar flow is presented. From the results obtained with finite difference method for Prandtl = 0.7, it is concluded that for the thermal boundary conditions analyzed, the admensional results for the inclined channel are coincident with those from the vertical channel, since the definition of the Grashof number between the cosine of the inclination angle (cos α) and the parameter (Gr/cos α) is greater than 107. Apresenta-se um modelo para conveccao natural em um canal constituido de placas planas paralelas inclinadas com as hipoteses de escoamento laminar e propriedades constantes. Dos resultados obtidos pela solucao, por diferencas finitas, do sistema de equacoes para Prandtl = 0.7, conclui-se que para as condicoes de contorno termicas analisadas, os resultados adimensionais para canal inclinado coincidem com os do canal vertical desde que na definicao do numero de Grashof entre o cosseno do angulo de inclinacao (cos α) e o parametro (Gr/cos α) seja maior que 107.
