Description
Seven binary galaxies have been studied in the 21-cm hydrogen line to determine individual masses of each galaxy and the pair masses. It appears that all the mass in the pairs is within the individual galaxies as measured by their rotational curves. Limited-resolution maps were obtained for two pairs, and in one case the massive galaxy NGC 4299 may be tidally disrupting its companion NGC 4294
