The French and their perception of green gases - Ifop poll for France Gaz - December 2022

Description

The survey was conducted among a sample of 1,000 people, representative of the French population aged 18 and over. The representativeness of the sample was ensured by the quota method (gender, age, profession of the respondent) after stratification by region and urban area category. Interviews were carried out by self-administered online questionnaire between December 13 and 14, 2022. The five key findings of this survey: 1 - the vast majority of those interviewed were in favor of boosting French energy production, in the event of energy shortages in the years ahead. 2 - Half of French people are familiar with renewable gases, but in a relatively superficial way. 3 - Among both 'experts' and 'neophytes', renewable gas enjoys a very positive a priori. 4 - Very well identified overall by the population, renewable gas uses are mainly associated with heat production for private homes, public buildings and industry. 5 - The development of renewable gases is currently considered insufficiently supported by public authorities
