Current concept for the proposed NRAO millimeter array

Description
The current status of the large ground-based imaging facility being considered by the NRAO for dual-polarization all-sky observations at wavelengths 0.8, 1.3, 2, 3, 7, and 9 mm is reviewed. The 21 or more 10-m-class antennas of the main array, each capable of operation in aperture-synthesis or total-power/beam-switching (TPBS) mode, will be complemented by either a multitelescope of about 21 4-m telescopes on a compact (25-30-m) structure or a single large antenna for TPBS imaging. Several proposed configurations are shown in diagrams and discussed, and the main scientific goals of the array are listed
