Studies on representation of the Lorentz group and gauge theory
Description
This work is focused on studies about the representation of the Lorentz group and gauge theory. The mathematical tools required for the different studies are presented, as well as for the representation of the Lorentz group and for the gauge theory. Representation of the Lorentz group gives the possible types of fields and wave functions that describe particles: fermions are described by spinors and bosons are described by scalar or vector. Each of these entities (spinors, scalars, vectors) are characterized by their behavior under the action of Lorentz transformations.Gauge theory is used to describe the interactions between particles.

Ce travail est centre sur des etudes concernant la representation du groupe de Lorentz et la theorie de jauge. Les outils mathematiques necessaires pour les differents etudes sont presentes, aussi bien en ce qui concerne la representation du groupe de Lorentz que la theorie de jauge. La representation du groupe de Lorentz donne les types possibles de champs et de fonctions d'ondes qui decrivent les particules : les fermions sont decrits par des spineurs et les bosons sont decrits par des scalaires ou des vecteurs. Chacun de ces entites (spineurs, scalaires, vecteurs) se caracterisent par leur comportement sous l'action des transformations de Lorentz. La theorie de jauge permet de decrire les interactions entre les particules.Additional details
