Description
A discussion of variable stars is given. The stars are monitored in order to learn the nature and evolution of stars. Various properties of these stars are included in the discussing including the mass, observable properties, variability, pulsation and equilibrium, relation between period and luminosity, the Eddington theory, a pulsating star model, and the nonlinear approach.
